Dr Lau Choon Ping
Dr. Lau Choon Ping graduated from the University of Malaya in 1997. He worked in Sabah for 3 years before joining master program in Orthopaedic Surgery. He was the Chief Resident for the trauma team during the 4 year master training in the University of Malaya. After completing Orthpaedic surgery training, he joined Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR), Klang in 2004. He started using the antibiotic pouch dressing technique while working in HTAR. This has won him the 1st place in the innovation award for the Health Ministry at the state level. He completed his Spine Fellowship training in Hong Kong in 2006. After completing his training, he joined Kuala Lumpur Hospital in 2007. He joined Pantai Hospital, Cheras at the end of 2008. In 2009, he joined Monash University as a sessional lecturer and later opted to become a fractional staff in October 2010.
